We're the Scroggins - Roland and Janet. We have been in the ministry for the past 36 years. I am an Ordained minister in the Church of God.
I began preaching when I was just 14 years old. My nephew, Bobby Scroggins, and I held our first revival when he was 15 and I was 14. It was a three week revival - 56 people saved - not too bad for just being kids!
I am 57 years old and have been in the ministry in some form the greater part of my life. I have pastored small churches (30-80 people)and I have pastored larger churches (400 -700 people.) I have served as State Youth Director (Hawaii) - State Youth Board Member and State Council Member (California) - Minister of Music and Associate Pastor (various places) and Senior Pastor (various places.)
Janet is an accomplished pianist and a wonderful wife. She has been my most important asset in all my years of ministry. I truly love her with all my heart.
Our son, David, and his family. His sweet wife, Cheryl and their three children (Matthew, Heather and Kaylee) are wonderful Christians and are actively involved in the church they attend.
Our daughter, Cara, Her husband, Derron, is Assistant Pastor at the church where they attend. They are also the music ministers. They, and their children, Bethany and Taylor, are wonderful Christians.
Janet and I have been especially blessed by the Lord as we have seen Him use and anoint our children and our grandchildren. They have truly been precious gifts to us.
Our present pastorate (see above) is in the beautiful Pacific Northwest just a few miles from Seattle, Washington. It is a small, but growing, fellowship. If you are ever in the area, please stop by for a visit.
"Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in the sanctuary: praise Him in the firmament of His power. Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltry and harp. Praise Him with the timbral and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." |
